On Friday, Indian equity benchmark indices traded higher, with the benchmark Nifty 50 index rising 3.50 points (0.01 per cent) to 24,235.35. Amid the market movement, Gayatri Rubbers and Chemicals share price jumps 5 per cent to Rs 531.20 and hit the Upper Circuit after the company announced that it had secured a pilot order for EPDM Rubber from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Gayatri Rubbers and Chemicals Limited has secured a pilot order for EPDM Rubber from ISRO. The company manufactures specialised HL3 grade rubber gaskets and precision chemical solutions. The latest order marks the company's formal entry into the high-precision Aerospace and space exploration sector.

Under the pilot order, the company will supply high-performance specialised elastomeric components engineered to meet the thermal, atmospheric and reliability standards required for space-grade applications.

The company stated that the engagement with ISRO is aligned with the 'Make in India' mission and validates its technical capabilities. The development lays the foundation for expanding its footprint across defence, aerospace and critical engineering sectors.
