Indices Remain Bearish, Sensex Down By More Than 100 points

Markets are currently witnessing a heavy sell-off in the mid trading session. Capital Goods is the top loser trading down by 175 points. The 50 share Nifty index is negative by 43 points at 6709 and the BSE 30 is lower by 136 points at 22415. Asian markets continue to trade on a mixed note.
The Indian markets witnessed a heavy sell-off in the morning-session today. On the current scenario the Nifty is down by 43points to trade at 6709 and the Sensex dropped by 136 points to 22415.
On the NSE, the advance-decline ratio is on the negative side with 1486 advances and 1913 declines.
Top Nifty Gainers: NMDC is leading the gainer lists so far and is up by 2.31%. It is followed by Asian Paints, Jindal Steel, Ambuja Cements and Dr Reddy’s Labs.
Top Nifty Losers: BHEL is leading the losers list so far and is down by 3.83%. It is followed by DLF, PNB, IndusInd Bank and Coal India.
Most of the sectoral indices turned negative as 11 out of 13 sectors are trading in red in the mid-session. Capital Goods is the top loser, trading lower by 175 points. It was followed by Bankex and Oil & Gas indices, which were down by 168 points and 124 points respectively. Mid-caps and small-caps are trading in negative down by 87 points and 24 points respectively.
The Asian market continued to trade on mixed note. The Nikkei is up by 125 points, followed by Hang Seng which is up by 41 points. However, Taiwan Index was down by 16 points.
Buzzer: Capital goods shares, saw good amount of selling, down in the range Bhel (down 2.84%), Bharat Electronics (down 2.54%), Punj Lloyd (down 1.68%), ABB (down 1.25%), AIA Engineering (down 1%), Crompton Greaves (down 0.91%), Lakshmi Machine Works (down 0.81%) of 1.5%-3%.
Nifty Futures is trading at 6755 level. If it sustains at current level we may see some upward movement.
