Indices Witness Small Profit Booking At closing Buzz.

After touching fresh lifetime high mark in the morning session, the indices edged lower at the closing bell, as investors were indulged in some profit booking at the end of the day. The 30 share Nifty closed flat at 6796 and the BSE 30 closed up by 12 points at 22715. Tata Power was up by 3.99% on the bourses today.
The Indian markets witnessed consolidation in the narrow range till mid-session. At the closing buzz, indices saw small profit booking trade and closed by lower ends. As a result the Nifty closed nominally positive by 0.2 points at 6796 and Sensex was 12 points higher at 22715.
The advance-decline ratio on NSE was on the positive side as the day ended with 1771 shares in green and 1603 shares in the red zone.
Top Nifty Gainers: Tata Power gained 3.99% in today’s trade, followed by BHEL, BPCL, NTPC and Cairn.
Top Nifty Losers: Dr Reddy’s Labs closed the day lower by 2.8%, followed by Sun Pharma, Lupin, Tech Mahindra and HCL Tech.
Most of the sectoral indices closed on a positive note. Capital Goods and Auto witnessed superb up move by 194 points and 73 points respectively. Oil & Gas, Metals and Bankex also saw a good up moves. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps witnessed a confident rally as well. Only Health Care and IT was closed in the negative territory.
All the major Asian markets closed the day on a positive note. Hang Seng closed up by 343 points, whereas Taiwan Index closed up by 17 points. Shanghai Composite and Kospi also closed in the positive territory.
Buzzer: Tata Power was up by more than 3.99% on the bourses today and closed near the technical level of Rs 87. If the stock opens above this level, it may touch the Rs 95/99 mark in the next few sessions.
Nifty Future closed at the today’s lower level, may see some more negative trade at opening trading session. The level of 6770/6740 will be at vital supports level for tomorrows trade.
