Markets Hit Life Record High; Sensex Above 23000

Indian markets surged and hit fresh intraday high in morning trade session. Nifty is up by 87 points to trade at 6946 and the Sensex is up by 311 points to trade at 23302. Both the indices are trading up in the range of 1.30%.

The advance-decline ratio is also indicating strength in the morning session today. On the NSE, 1939 shares are trading in gains, while 1513 shares are down.
Top Nifty Gainers: Reliance is the top gainer in today’s morning session and is up by 3.31%. It is followed by SBI, GAIL, IndusInd Bank and Axis Bank.
Top Nifty Losers: TCS is the top loser for today’s morning session and is trading lower by 1.38%. It is followed by Wipro, Sun Pharma, Cipla and Hindalco.
On the sectoral front, 10 out of 13 sectors are trading in the green zone. Bankex is the top gainer this morning, trading higher by 288 points. It is followed by Capital Goods and Oil & Gas, which were up by 251 points and 248 points respectively. Mid-caps and Small-caps also traded with a positive bias, up by 110 points and 54 points respectively, this morning.
Global Markets are giving out positive cues this morning. Hang Seng is up by 472 points and Nikkei is trading up by 10 points. KOSPI and Shanghai Composite are trading with a positive bias.
Buzzers: Maruti Suzuki India is up by 1.73% at day’s high and 52 week high at Rs 2023. This indicates a positive move ahead and we may see the stock trading higher in next few sessions.
The Nifty is trading at the 6964 level. Nifty Futures trend is indicating some medium term positive picture. However, it may see some profit booking on higher level.
