Nifty Choppy At Closing Buzz, BHEL Up By 10%

The superb rally session took a small halt at the closing bell today as investors opted for some amount of profit booking. All the key benchmark indices closed the day in the positive terrain. As a result the Nifty index closed up by 94 points at 7108 and Sensex ended the day higher by 320 points at 23871.
The Indian markets witnessed a superb rally for the third consecutive day. Capital Goods was the outperformer of the day followed by Oil & Gas, IT and Consumer Durables. However, Nifty saw some profit booking trade in the closing session and closed on the positive territory up by 94 points at 7108 and Sensex was 320 points higher at 23871.
The advance-decline ratio on NSE was positive, as the day ended with 1894 shares in green and 1578 shares in the red zone.
Top Nifty Gainers: BHEL gained 10.22% in today’s trade, followed by Hero Motocorp, Ambuja Cement, Bank Of Baroda and DLF.
Top Nifty Losers: PNB closed the day lower by 4.18%, followed by Dr Reddy’s Labs, Cairn India, Tata Motors and Hindalco.
Most of the sectoral indices closed on a positive note. Capital Goods stocks rallied in today’s trading session up more than 324 points. It was followed by Oil & Gas, IT and Consumer Durables that also witnessed good up move around 300 points each. Bankex, Mid-Caps and Small-Caps also closed on positive note more than 100 points. However Heath Care closed on a negative note by 47 points.
All the major Asian markets closed on the mixed side for today’s session. The Nikkei market closed up by 275 points, Hang Seng also witnessed up move by 90 points. KOSPI and Taiwan also closed on the lower ends.
Buzzer: BHEL was up by more than 10% on the bourses today and closed above the technical level of Rs 215. If the stock opens above this level, it may touch the Rs 220/225 mark in the next few sessions.
Nifty future closed above the technical level of 7100. It remains in the bullish sentiment till nifty future is closing above the level of 7000.
