Sensex Ends Above 25500, Grasim Up By 11%

On the backdrop of bulk buying observed in Capital Goods and Auto sector, Indian markets today witnessed a superb rally to close on another lifetime high level. At the closing bell Nifty index closed up by 71 points at 7654 and Sensex was higher by 183 points to trade at 25580.
The Indian markets continued with its upward rally in today’s session as well. Most of the bulk buying was observed in Capital Goods and Auto sectors. As a result indices smiled their way up and hence, the Nifty saw a super move up by 71 points at 7654 and Sensex was up by 183 points at 25580.
The advance-decline ratio on NSE was positive, as the day ended with 2605 shares in green and 980 shares in the red zone.
Top Nifty Gainers: Grasim gained 11.55% in today’s trade, followed by Power Grid Corp, Coal India, Bajaj Auto and ACC.
Top Nifty Losers: ONGC closed the day lower by 2.68%, followed by BPCL, SBI, HUL and M&M.
Most of the sectoral indices closed on a positive note. Capital Goods stocks witnessed a massive rally in today’s trading session and went up by 399 points. It was followed by Metals, Auto and Small Caps that also saw an upward move around 200 points each. Mid-Caps and Consumer Durables also saw some good recovery and closed up by around 100 points. However, Oil & Gas closed on the lower side.
All the major Asian markets had a positive session on the bourses today and ended the day in the positive territory. The Nikkei market closed up by 46 points, while Hang Seng witnessed positive move by 166 points, KOSPI and Taiwan closed on the positive side as well.
Buzzer: Grasim was up by more than 11% on the bourses today and closed up at the technical level of Rs 3700. If the stock opens above this level, it may touch Rs 3740/3765 mark in the next few sessions.
Nifty future closed at a record high around 7665, if it opens above this level, index future may touch 7700 level.
