Sensex Made Record High, Indices Up More Than 1%

Today is the party day for the bulls as Sensex witnessed another session of record high. All the sectoral indices closed on a positive note at the closing bell. Nifty index saw superb up move by 90 points at 7725 and Sensex closed up by 324 points at 25841.
The Indian markets witnessed massive rally till the closing trading session. The pre-budget action and the global market scenario pulled the indices on record highs. The Nifty saw positive trade and closed up by 90 points at 7725 and Sensex surged by 324 points at 25841.
The advance-decline ratio on NSE was positive, as the day ended with 2151 shares in green and 1429 shares in the red zone.
Top Nifty Gainers: Sesa Sterlite gained 4.69% in today’s trade, followed by NTPC, United Spirits, BHEL and HDFC.
Top Nifty Losers: HCL Tech closed the day lower by 1.15%, followed by PNB, GAIL, Tech Mahindra and Infy.
All the sectoral indices closed on a positive note. Capital Goods and Metals stocks rallied in today’s trading session, up by 274 points and 268 points respectively. It was followed by Bankex, Mid-Caps and Small-Caps, which also witnessed good up-move around 100 points each. While Oil & Gas, Heath Care and IT closed on positive note.
All the major Asian markets closed on the positive note for today’s session. The Nikkei market closed up by 43 points, while Hang Seng witnessed up-move by 358 points. KOSPI and Taiwan also closed on the higher ends.
Buzzer: Sesa Sterlite was up by more than 4.69% on the bourses today and closed above the technical level of Rs 300. If the stock opens above this level, it may touch the Rs 325/340 mark in the next few sessions.
Nifty future closed above the major hurdle which was at 7700 indicating strong-up move above this level.
