The market witnessed superb up-move till closing session. Capital Goods and Metal stocks were the outperformer of the day, followed by Bankex and Auto. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps also closed on the highest mark. The Nifty index saw up moves by 73 points at 8027 and Sensex closed higher by 229 points at 26867 at the end of today’s trade.

Mid-Caps and Small-Caps also closed on the highest mark. The Nifty index saw up moves by 73 points at 8027 and Sensex closed higher by 229 points at 26867 at the end of today’s trade.
The advance-decline ratio on NSE was positive, as the day ended with 2209 shares in green and 1373 shares in the red zone.
Top Nifty Gainers: Jindal Steel gained 6.44% in today’s trade, followed by Hero Motocorp, Maruti Suzuki, Tata power and GAIL.
Top Nifty Losers: Sun Pharma closed the day lower by 1.51%, followed by HDFC, ITC, BHEL and Tata Motors.
The sectoral indices closed on a positive note. Capital Goods and Metal stocks witnessed heavy buying in today’s trading session, up by 409 points and 341 points respectively, followed by Bankex and Auto. Mid-Caps and Small Caps also closed in the positive zone. IT, Oil & Gas and Consumer Durables saw up-trade around 100 points each. FMCG closed in the negative territory.
Buzzer: Hero Motocorp was up by more than 5.7% on the bourses today and closed above the technical level of Rs 2750. If the stock opens above this level, it may touch the Rs 2770/2800 mark in the next few sessions.
Nifty future closed above 8000 mark, indicating a bullish move if it sustains above this technical level.
