Sensex Above 26500 Mark, Jindal Steel Up By 7%

Indian markets continued with the positive sentiment in today’s trading session. The major sectors like Banking, Capital Goods and Metals surged well and witnessed up-move of more than 200 points. However Oil & Gas closed in the negative territory, down by 82 points. The Nifty closed up by 48 points at 7927 and Sensex was up by 145 points at 26575 in the closing bell.

However Oil & Gas closed in the negative territory, down by 82 points. The Nifty closed up by 48 points at 7927 and Sensex was up by 145 points at 26575 in the closing bell.
The advance-decline ratio on NSE was positive, as the day ended with 1873 shares in green and 1788 shares in the red zone.
Top Nifty Gainers: Jindal Steel gained 7.34% in today’s trade, followed by DLF, GAIL, Sesa Sterlite and BHEL.
Top Nifty Losers: ONGC closed the day lower by 2.63%, followed by M&M, PNB, UltraTech Cement and Coal India.
Most of the sectoral indices were positive in today’s session. Bankex and Capital Goods were the outperformers in today’s trade up, by 223 points and 200 points respectively. Metals and Auto stocks were up by 188 points and 113 points respectively. While mid-cap and small-cap stocks closed on a positive note, up around 85 points and 20 points respectively. However Oil & Gas index witnessed small profit booking trade, down by 82 points.
The Asian markets had a mixed session on the bourses today and ended the day in the downward territory. The Nikkei market saw down move by 306 points, while Taiwan, KOSPI & Shanghai Composite also closed on negative note. The Hang Seng and Strait Times Index also closed in positive territory.
Buzzer: Jindal Steel was up by more than 7.34% on the bourses today and closed up at the technical level around Rs 145. If the stock opens above this level, it may touch Rs 155/170 mark in the next few sessions.
Nifty future continued to show good strength as the index closed around 7950 mark. Looking at the current scenario, Nifty Future may cross 8000 mark.
