The Indian markets witnessed good buying interest in the last hour of trade to close on a positive note in today’s session. Good buying interest is witnessed in IT, FMCG and Metal indices as they closed the day on a positive note gaining more than one percentage points. The only sectoral index that closed the day in red is the Consumer Durables. The Sensex closed the day in green gaining 208.27 points or 1.15 percentage points to close at 18,257.12. Nifty ends the day at 5479.15 gaining 65 points or 1.20 percentage points. Market breadth was negative with 1,671 advances against 1,272 declines on BSE. On the global front, European stocks declined for the first time in five days, led by energy companies, as Vestas Wind Systems A/S lowered its revenue forecast. Asian shares climbed, while U.S. index futures fell.
