The Indian markets saw a landslide fall after a gap down opening in today’s trade. The market is surrounded by negative domestic cues as well as the Asian market also bring some panic selling. The Nifty index ended at lower by 112 points at 8349 and Sensex closed 353 points lower at 27512. Both the indices tanked more than 1 percent.

The advance-decline ratio ended on the negative side today. On the NSE, 700 shares closed in green, while 2137 shares were in the red.
Top Nifty Gainers: HCL Tech stayed on top of the index for today, up by 3.23%. Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Sun Pharma and TCS also closed higher.
Top Nifty Losers: Vedanta closed the day as the top loser, down by 7%, followed by HIndalco, BPCL, Coal India and SBI.
The sectoral indices all closed in the red. Bankex was the top loser, down by 644 points. Followed by Auto, Consumer Durables, Metals and Oil & Gas lost by 350 points to 400 points. Both Mid-Caps and Small-Caps also crashed around 250 points each.
The Asian markets closed on a negative note today. Hang Seng was the top loser, down by 582 points and Nikkei closed negative by 327 points. Shanghai Weighted and Straits Times also ended lower.
Buzzer: Vedanta was the strongest loser among the 50 NSE stocks. The scrip made a 52-low of Rs 113, and closed at Rs 113.80. If its continue with current scenario may see level below Rs100 soon.
The Nifty Futures have given a bearish pattern on the daily chart and more pain may be seen below 8400 level.
