On the market share basis, IndiGo remained the biggest carrier with 38.4% of market share during second quarter of 2015 while Jet Airways and Air India’s  remained at 18.7% and 15.8% respectively. Spice Jet was fourth with 11.6% market share. As far as Passenger load factor (PLF) among various airlines is concerned, Spicejet remained the clear leader with 93.4% PLF, followed by Go Air, Jet Airways, Air Asia and Jet lite, whose PLF remained at 81.2%, 81%, 80.2% and 80.1% respectively. PLF during July showed a decline as tourist season came to an end. On the efficiency front, though airlines have to improve a lot as 47.1% of the total cancellation occurred due to technical reasons and Air India and Jet Airways performed pathetically on that ground. On the other hand Spicejet and Air India were the worst performers in terms of customer complaints with 1.6x complaints lodged against them per 10000 pax.

On the basis of punctuality, IndiGo and Air Asia performed best among big airlines with 86.6% and 86.3% on time performance (OTP) respectively. Here Spicejet performed pathetically with just 63.8% OTP performance.
