Expect Negative Opening Over Global Cues

Today morning, the Asian markets are trading in negative territory. The Hang Seng is trading lower by 0.33 per cent while the Shanghai Composite is even trading lower. The Japanese market is not trading. The negative sentiments in Asian markets continued from Europe and US markets.

Despite of strong industrial production numbers, the Indian market experienced profit booking over weak global cues. Earlier the Asian markets were trading negative over the poor trade data from China. China’s imports fell 20 per cent in September and exports slipped 3.7 per cent raising concerns over the growth in world’s second largest economy. However, the Chinese markets recovered late in yesterday are trading session.

Another factor making market bearish is the second quarter result session. Infosys already declared its Q2 results with downgrading its FY16 dollar revenue. Yesterday, market was waiting TCS to announce its result. However, the TCS announced moderate quarter results in the evening. In a notification on the spectrum trading, the government allowed telecom companies to trade telecom spectrum only after two years from spectrum auction. This notification spread some nervousness across the telecom companies yesterday.

On European market front, the Chinese weak trade data remained overhang over the markets. The major European indices closed almost 1 per cent down in yesterday’s trading session. The DAX and CAC 40 closed 0.86 and 0.97 per cent down, while the FTSE 100 closed 0.45 per cent down. The US markets too traded in negatives over China weak data. The Chinese economy remained the concern for the economies across the globe. The S&P and Nasdaq closed down by 0.68 and 0.87 per cent respectively, while Dow Jones closed 0.29 per cent down.
