CRISIL Q3 profit up by 8.1 per cent to Rs 76.87 crore

The Credit rating agency CRISIL announced its Third Quarter 2015 results, as the company follows calendar years. It's consolidated revenue from the operation increased from Rs 313.52 crore to Rs 359.37 crore, showcasing an increase of 14.6 per cent as compared to corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The company's core businesses include rating, global research and analytics, research, capital markets, infrastructure advisory and CRISIL risk solutions. The Rating Services segment revenue was stable at Rs 108.68 crore y-o-y basis. The Research Services segment revenue rose by 24 per cent to Rs 234.63 crore as compared to Rs 189.33 crore, while its Advisory Services segment revenue rose by 3.25 per cent to Rs 15.55 crore on yearly basis.
The firm has highly increased in its expenditure by 264.16 crore as against Rs 230.03 crore, rising by 14.84 crore mainly due to increased in staff expenses, rent expenses and other expenses on yearly basis.
The profit from operations before other income, interest and exceptional items stood at Rs 95.21 crore as compared to Rs 83.49 crore, rose by 14 per cent in Q3 of 2014. The Company's other income increased by 2.5 per cent to Rs 14.63 crore. The net profit after tax increased by 8.1 per cent to Rs 76.87 crore against Rs 71.11 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.
The FII holdings increased by 38 basis points to 7.73 per cent, while the DII holding reduced by 106 basis points to 9.9 per cent as on 30thSeptember 2015. Today CRISIL is trading at Rs 2015, around 2 per cent higher.
