Markets End Flat in Red

Post Market Summary
The markets did not make any headway in this trading session. In what was almost a mirror image of the previous day’s proceedings, the markets traded in a narrow range of about 100 points before ending with marginal losses. The main gainer for the day is the Realty index gaining more than one percentage points followed by the Auto and Healthcare indices closing the day with a gain of more than half percentage points. The main draggers for the day are the Metal, Oil & Gas and Capital Goods indices. The Sensex closed the day in red declining 29.53 points or 0.16 percentage points to close at 18,208.78. Nifty ends the day at 5479.40 same as previous day’s closing. Market breadth was positive with 1,449 advances against 1,389 declines on BSE. On the global front, European stocks rose, with the Stoxx Europe 600 Index heading for its biggest weekly gain since July, as investors awaited the monthly U.S. payrolls report.
