After a disappointing performance by the Indian benchmark indices for the Samvat 2071, the new Samvat 2072 launched with a bang as the Sensex and Nifty registered gains of about 0.50 per cent.  On the daily chart the Nifty index has multiple supports in the range of 7740-7770. The level of 7770 is a very crucial level as this low was formed post the Bihar Polls outcome. Only if this support range is breached decisively, it would trigger a sell-off up to levels of 7680-7550.  On the higher side the level of 7900 will act as a strong hurdle for the index. The short term outlook for the indices looks little bit subdued and in the favour of the bear’s as indices are trading below its important short-medium term moving averages.
