Active Bulls Pull Up The Markets, Nifty Surges

The Indian markets carried on with its northward journey in the mid-session too. At present, the Nifty is trading up by 59 points to trade at 7901 and the Sensex is up by 193 points and is trading at 26035. Both the indices were seen trading higher by more than 0.75 percent each.

On the NSE, the advance-decline ratio is positive with 1564 advances and 999 declines.
Top Nifty Gainers: GAIL is leading the gainer list so far and is up by 11.8%. It is followed by Bajaj Auto, Bank Of Baroda and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
Top Nifty Losers: Sun Pharma is leading the list of losers thus far and is down by 1.8%. It is followed by ITC, Hindalco, HCL Tech and Tata Motors.
All the sectoral indices are trading on a positive note. Capital Goods the top gainer is trading up by 132 points. It is followed by Auto and IT, which were up by 100 points each. Mid-caps and Small-caps also positive in this scenario, were higher by 91 points and 71 points respectively.
The Asian market continued to trade in green. Hang Seng is up by 254 points. It was followed by the Nikkei which is up 20 points. The Straits Times and KOSPI were also trading on a positive note.
Buzzer: GAIL opened on a positive note this morning and is trading near a major hurdle of Rs 350. The scrip made high at Rs 359.90. If it closes above the technical level of Rs 355, we may see good upward trends in the upcoming trading sessions.
Nifty Futures continue to trade with an uptrend and is trading around 7900 level. If it closes above this level we may see more upward momentum.
