Markets Witness Smart Rally In Today's Session

Bulls were the rulers for the day. The markets rallied to touch 31 month high during the trading session. All the sectoral indices closed the day in green. The main gainers for the day are the Metal and Banking indices gaining more than three percentage points and two and half percentage points respectively. The Sensex closed the day in green gaining 338.62 points or 1.86 percentage points to close at 18,560.05.  Nifty ends the day at 5576.95 gaining 97.55 points or 1.78 percentage points. Market breadth was positive with 2,072 advances against 881 declines on BSE. On the global front, European stocks gained, extending a four-week high for the Stoxx Europe 600 Index, as a report on U.K. manufacturing eased concern that the economic recovery is faltering. Asian shares climbed.
