Benchmark Indices Turn Negative

The Indian markets saw a deep cut in mid-session after it opened with positive sentiments. The Nifty is seen volatile in current trade, down by 28 points at 7753. The Sensex is 139 points lower at 25494. The indices are trading negative between 0.41-0.57 percent.

The advance-decline ratio is balanced. On the NSE, 1401 shares are in the green and 1212 shares are in red.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: Asian Paints is leading the gainers list so far, up by 3.7%. Sun Pharma, Tata Steel, HUL and HDFC are also gaining.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: ITC has dipped by 6.6%, followed by Cairn India, Coal India, ONGC and Reliance.
On the sectoral front, FMCG is the top loser, moving down by 221 points. Auto and Metals are lower by 70 points each. However Bankex, Healthcare and Consumer Durables have sustained on positive territory.
All the Asian markets are trading on a positive note in the mid-market session. Nikkei is the top gainer so far, up by 193 points. Taiwan also saw a good up-move, higher by 55 points. Shanghai Composite and Straits Times are also trading in the green zone.
Buzzer: Asian Paints stock also opened on a positive note, up by 3.99%, and made an intraday high of Rs 868. If it closes above the 870 mark one may see more up move.
Nifty Futures are trading in the range of 7800-7830. If they cross these levels one may decide further direction.
