a) ACC: ACC follows January-December as fiscal year; and it reported a decline of 69% yoy in consolidated net profit at Rs 102.39 crore for December 2015 quarter. Total consolidated income from operations increased by 3% yoy to Rs 2,911.92 crore from Rs 2,837.03 crore. Total expenses were almost flat on yoy basis at Rs 2,790.76 crore over Rs 2,726.65 crore.
b) Ambuja Cement: Ambuja followd January- December as fiscal year; net sales are flat yoy basis to Rs 2,355.81 crore as against Rs 2,378.97 crore for the fourth quarter. It posted a net profit of Rs 807.88 crore compared to Rs 1,486.50 crore, down by 45.65%.
c) Alstom T&D India: Alstom reported standalone net loss of Rs 18.21 crore vs net profit of Rs.25.8 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015. Total income from operations declined on yoy basis to Rs 755.2 crore vs Rs. 766 crore in the quarter.
d) Tata Chemical: Tata Chemical reported consolidated net Revenue of Rs.4,637.35 crore for Decmeber 2015 quarter, down by 4% yoy and consolidated net profit declined by 45% yoy basis to Rs.129.94 crore. The company said "US volumes were impacted due to production outages and extreme weather conditions. European operations stabilized, post commissioning of the steam turbine. The financial performance was adversely impacted by the marking to market of hedging contracts for future gas purchases, supporting soda ash production”.
e) Petronet LNG: Petronet LNG Ltd reported 9.8% yoy basis increase in net profit to Rs. 178.39 crore in December 2015 quarter due to higher shipping volumes of gas. However, net revenue declined by 54% yoy basis to Rs 5,204.45 crore in the quarter from Rs 11,225.3 crore, it was impacted by low offtake of LNG under long-term contract with Qatar.
