Yet another disappointing day, indices dives

The Indian markets faced another disappointing day, with most of the stocks seeing their 52-week lows. The Nifty ended lower by 90 points at 7018 and Sensex was 312 points down at 23088. The indices ended in the red by 1.28-1.37 percent. Apart of the Oil & Gas all the sectoral indices closed in negative territory.

The Indian markets faced another disappointing day, with most of the stocks seeing their 52-week lows. The Nifty ended lower by 90 points at 7018 and Sensex was 312 points down at 23088. The indices ended in the red by 1.28-1.37 percent. Apart of the Oil & Gas all the sectoral indices closed in negative territory.

Advance-decline ratio ended on the negative side. On the NSE, 808 shares closed in green, while 1740 shares ended the day in the red.

Top 5 Nifty Gainers: BPCL closed the day with the highest gains of 4.4%. Power Grid, Bharti Airtel, M&M and Yes Bank are the others in gains.

Top 5 Nifty Losers: BHEL remained the strongest loser, down by 5.08%, followed by NTCP, Tata Motors, Hindalco and Vedanta.

Twelve out of the 13 sectors traded in the red. Healthcare was the top loser, down by 265. Bankex and Auto also dragged the markets down by 216 points and 203 points respectively. Capital Goods and Metals also surrounded in negative scenario and slumped around 175 points each. Mid-caps and Small-Caps also closed on negative note.  

The Asian markets closed a strong trading day on a negative note. The Hang Seng market closed as the top loser, down by 222 points. Nikkei market was also in negative, down by 136 points. KOSPI and Taiwan ended with marginal loss.

Buzzer: BPCL the stock move up by 4.4% and made a high of Rs 768. If its sustain above Rs 775 may see Rs 800 level soon.  

The Nifty has fallen and closed below 7050. If it sustains below the technical level of 7000, a bearish scenario may continue.
