The Indian markets are in negative terrain today. Today’s rally is primarily led by the Auto and Consumer Durables which were down by 242 and 428 points. Nifty is trading down by more than 51 points at 7408.09; and Sensex by 186 points at 24365.54.

Nifty is trading down by more than 51 points at 7408.09; and Sensex by 186 points at 24365.54. Both the leading indicators are trading down by 0.69 and 0.76 per cent respectively.
The advance-decline ratio showed the same trend as most of the stocks were trading in red. 1543 scrips were trading in the negative territory; 732 scrips were in green; however 137 stocks remained unchanged on the NSE.
Top Nifty Gainers: BPCL is leading the gainer's list as it was trading up by close to 1.10 per cent followed by ITC, Infosys, Power Grid Corporation and Grasim which were up 0.93; 0.70; 0.40; and 0.38 per cent respectively.
Top Nifty Losers: Hindalco is leading the loser's list down more than 5.13 per cent, followed by Vedanta and Bajaj Auto which are down by 3.69 per cent and 2.66 per cent respectively.
All the major sectors were trading in red except for BSE IT which was up by 34.24 points. BSE Consumer Durables was leading the way with loss of 454 points, followed by BSE Auto and BSE Healthcare which are trading down by 217 and 163 points. BSE Small Cap and BSE Mid Cap index are trading down by 100 and 124 points.
Buzzer: - Asian Paints is buzzing in trade as it was trading down by 2.27 per cent quoting Rs 866. As Nomura downgraded the company to Neutral from Buy.
