Day's Digest - Five stocks to watch out on March 16

The five stocks that may witness some kind of significant movement on March 16 in the markets are: Ortel Communications, Geometric, Alok Industries, NCC and Anuh Pharma.

a)  Ortel Communications : Ortel Communications’ Finance Committee of Board of Directors has approved the term loan of Rs 8.50 crore from Union Bank, Bhubaneswar in order to partly finance its capital expansion plan. The stock will be in focus for the whole day.

b) Geometric :  Geometric’s CAMWorks is to showcase critical new functionality for the Tool and Die industry at Diemould India 2016 to be held in Bengaluru from April 6 to April 9 , 2016. The new technology will simplify and speed up the CNC programming process in the Tool and Die Industry.

c) Alok Industries: The PE funds, textile companies are in race to buy  Vardhman Textiles and have shown interest in buying some spinning assets of Alok Industries but are not looking at buying the polyester business. Therefore Alok Industries will be in focus.

d) NCC: NCC to get Rs 400 crore after divesting stake from Sembcorp and other road assets according to company’s management. The money received from the stake sales will be utilised for working capital requirements and debt reduction.

e)  Anuh Pharma : Anuh Pharma share price recovered from early morning loss of 7.53 per cent after company’s clarification on suspended drugs. The share price of the company is trading at Rs 217.5. The company stated that three drugs, whose certificates of suitability were suspended by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and Healthcare (EDQM), would not have any material impact on the company's earnings.
