Mid-Day Stock Watch on March 28

Hours since the markets opened today, after a careful observation of stocks' movements and analysis, we find these below mentioned five stocks worth watching during rest half of the day.

a) HCC: HCC declared that it has been awarded two contracts worth Rs 623 crore in the hydro power and tunneling sectors. The company received Rs 456 crore order from Tangsibji Hydro Energy of Bhutan and Rs 167 crore from Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKPDC).

b) Glenmark Pharmaceutical: Glenmark Pharmaceuticals bagged final approval by the United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) for bendamustine hydrochloride for injection, 25 mg/vial and 100 mg/vial. The approved drug is equivalent to the reference listed drug product, Treanda for injection, 25 mg/vial and 100 mg/vial, of Cephalon. The stock will be focused rest of the trading session.

C) GVK Power & Infrastructure : GVK Power & Infrastructure divested 33 per cent stake in Bangalore International Airport to Fairfax Group for Rs 2149 Crore. After the divestment roll put the company will be able to cut debt of Rs 2000 crore and this would reduce interest expense about Rs 300 crore annually.

d) Monnet Ispat & Energy: Monnet Ispat & Energy (MIEL) shareholders approve stake sale in power arm, Monnet Power Company (MPCL). MPCL has 87.5 per cent stake, is setting up a thermal power plant of 1050 MW capacity in Angul at Odisha. The stock will be in lime light rest of the day.

e) BHEL: BHEL commissioned 40 MW Hydro Power Plant in West Bengal. The company commissioned unit at the Teesta Low Dam Hydro Electric Project (HEP) stage IV in West Bengal. The share will be in focus throughout a day.
