Rupa & Company ties up with French Connection Limited

Rupa & Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Oban Fashions entered into a definitive license agreement with French Connection Limited. The company has acquired the exclusive license from French Connection Limited to develop, manufacture, marketing and sale of the innerwear and related products with the Brand name 'FCUK' in India.

During March month, Rupa and Company passed the plan of issuance of commercial papers of Rs 180 crore in its Board of Directors meeting. Meanwhile, the company did not disclose usage of fund raising activity.

On financial front, Rupa & Company’s revenue increased by 27.53 per cent to Rs 227 crore in Q3FY16 as compared to same period in previous financial year. The company’s EBITDA too rose by 52.01 per cent to Rs 29.87 in Q3FY16 on yearly basis. Its EBITDA margin expanded by 212 basis points to 13.16 per cent in Q3FY16 as compared to same period in previous fiscal year. Rupa & Company’s net profit boosted almost double to Rs 14.09 crore in Q3FY16 on yearly basis. The company’s net profit margin expanded by 178 basis points to 6.21 per cent in Q3FY16 as compared to same period in the previous financial year.

On April 8, the share price of Rupa & Company declined by 0.40 per cent to Rs 274.5 on bourses. On Valuation front, Rupa & Company’s share price is trading at PE multiple of 31.98x times. The company’s EPS stood at Rs 7.58. Its book value is at Rs 41.22.

Rupa & Company is engaged in the business of knitted garments ranging from innerwear to casual wear. The company is engaged in the business of garments and hosiery goods and related services. Its products include gent’s undergarments, ladies undergarment and t-shirts. Rupa & Company offers products under the brand names Rupa, Frontline, Jon, Air, Macroman, Macroman M’Series, Euro, Bumchums, Thermocot, Femmora and Imoogi.
