ABB India's share price declined after Q1CY16 results

ABB India’s EBITDA too has risen by 3.82 per cent to Rs 149 crore in Q1CY16 on a yearly basis. However, the company’s EBITDA margin has contracted by 46 basis points to 7.45 per cent in Q1CY16 on a yearly basis due to 8.92 per cent increment in raw materials' prices during the quarter. Its PAT has also increased by 30.74 per cent to Rs 70.98 crore in Q1CY16 as compared to same period in previous financial year. ABB India’s PAT margin has expanded by 56 basis points to 3.55 per cent in Q1CY16 on a yearly basis.

On segmental revenue front, ABB India has earned 35.40 per cent from Power Grid segment;29.8 per cent from Discrete Allocation and Motion segment; 22.02 per cent from Electrification Products segment; and remaining 12.79 per cent from Process Automation segment during Q1CY16.

ABB India received orders worth Rs 1830 crore in Q1CY16. The company’s order for 132kV GIS substation and one of the largest orders for analysers in the petrochemical sector marked the period under review. It witnessed a double digit growth in export orders with a healthy product and systems mix. ABB India has an order backlog of Rs 7804 crore as of March 31, 2016.

The share price of ABB India declined by 7.89 per cent on bourses in early trades; and is trading at Rs 1292 on an intraday basis.
