Meanwhile, Q4 results have started pouring in one by one and as we had earlier told you, the numbers are looking much better than that of Q3. We also expect the Q1 numbers, due in June, 2016 to look more impressive than the numbers you are getting now from the last quarter’s result. By the time, Q1 results will be out, we may get respite from the heatwave once it starts pouring. A good monsoon is on the cards, as predicted by the IMD. You can expect a cheerful time ahead in few weeks from now.

The political outfits in opposition, however, are not showing any sign of being friendly to the NDA government letting it pass the pending crucial GST Bill. In less than a month from now, results of elections of five states’ legislative assemblies will be out and we expect certain existing political situations in those states to change. However, while I write this piece on April 27, union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley told mediapersons in the national capital that finally the much-awaited Bankruptcy Bill has been cleared by a Joint Parliament Committee. Now the content of the important Bill will be discussed in Parliament during the next few days before it finally given the shape of a new set of laws. Another piece of good news, indeed.

Amid all these developments around, the 7^th DSIJ PSU Awards night took place in the national capital on April 21. The star-studded award ceremony witnessed presence of chieftains of Indian PSUs while Dr Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State-In-Charge of Civil Aviation, Tourism and Culture gave away the coveted awards amid much cheer to the winner government run enterprises. The winners were identified through a rigorous process like all the past occasions. You will find a detail reportage on the event along with photographs of the night inside.
