HDFC’s bottom line has increased by 43.05 per cent in Q4FY16

HDFC has declared its Q4FY16 results on May 2. The company’s net sales have boosted by 38.98 per cent to Rs 17012 crore in Q4FY16 as compared to the previous financial year. The company’s EBITDA too has risen by 21.54 per cent to Rs 9240 crore in Q4FY16 on a quarterly basis. Its net profit has also increased by 43.05 per cent to Rs 3461 crore in Q4FY16 as compared to the previous financial year. HDFC’s net profit margin has expanded by 58 basis points to 20.34 per cent in Q4FY16 on a quarterly basis.

On a yearly basis, HDFC’s top line has increased by 10.16 per cent to Rs 53223 crore in FY16 as compared to previous fiscal year. The company’s EBITDA also has risen by 11.1 per cent to Rs 31995 crore in FY16 on a yearly basis. Its bottom line also has increased by 16.29 per cent to Rs 10190 crore in FY16 as compared to previous financial year. HDFC’s net profit margin has expanded by 101 basis points to 19.15 per cent in FY16 on a yearly basis.

On segmental revenue front, HDFC has earned 59.47 per cent from Loans segment; 33.14 per cent from Life insurance segment; 3.82 per cent from General Insurance segment; 2.96 per cent from Asset Management segment; and remaining 0.60 per cent from others segment during FY16.

The share price of HDFC has increased by 0.50 per cent on bourses after declaration of quarterly results; and has closed at Rs 1094.25 on an intraday basis.

HDFC is engaged in financing by way of loans for the purchase or construction of residential houses, commercial real estate and certain other purposes, in India. The company's segments include loans, life insurance, general insurance, asset management and others. It also provides portfolio management, mutual fund, property investment management, project management, investment consultancy and property related services. HDFC’s distribution network includes around 4014 branches and 11766 automated teller machines (ATMs) in around 2464 locations.
