Congress clean bowled on familiar pitches

Vote counting is still going on and with final tally to be with us in an hour's time, it is clear by now who is going to form the government in which state. BJP in Assam, TMC in West Bengal, AIADMK in Tamilnadu and LDF (Left Democratic Front) in Kerala  are inching towards forming a government in respective states.

The highlight of the story has been the drubbing of Congress in almost all the states except Puducherry. In West Bengal TMC defeated Congress convincingly and in Assam BJP managed to throw Congress out of power. Kerala story is no different for Congress as LDF stands as the single largest party, meaning Congress is out of power in Kerala as well. 

BJP for the first time in history will be forming the government in Assam. Sarbanand Sonowal will be the new CM of Assam, who joined BJP only 5 years ago.

PM Narendra Modi has already congratulated Mamta Banerjee, Jayalalitha and Sarbanand Sonowal as mentioned in his tweet.

Nitish Kumar while congratulating Mamta Banerjee and Jayalalitha highlighted the fact that Congress lost because it did not ally with other parties. In his tweet he urged all those parties not aligned with BJP and RSS's line of thinking and policies to come together and stand in unison
