ITC's  Q4 stable; Declares 1:2 bonus

The much awaited results of the FMCG giant, ITC were out today just before the market closure. The stock has seen a dynamic impulse just after it posted its Q4 results. Finally the stock closed 4.05 per cent up at Rs 338.

Company’s quarter on quarter standalone revenues stand at Rs 10062.36 crore as against Rs 9102.66 crore, with an increase of 10.5 per cent. Segment wise company’s cigarette revenues have seen a rise of 10.2 per cent from Rs 4210.7 crore to Rs 4639.17 crore in the last quarter. Apart from its FMCG business the company’s agri business has grown at a rate of 26.5 per cent to Rs 1806.79 crore in Q4FY16 from Rs 1427.89 crore.

EBITDA has reported a rise of 2.3 per cent to Rs 3687.08 as against Rs 3605.19 core. Segment wise Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) shows that PBT for cigarette has grown 11.5 per cent to Rs 3018.56 crore as against Rs 2706.15 crore in the previous quarter. Agri business and packaging business' EBIT has increased by 6 per cent.

However, company has witnessed a 5.9 per cent decline in its net profits to Rs 2495.2 crore from Rs 2652.82 crore in the last quarter.

Year on year results show that company’s revenues have grown 9.5 per cent as compared to the corresponding quarter of the last year. Net profits have grown 5.7 per cent from Rs 2361.18 crore.

ITC’s yearly consolidated revenues have remained flat at Rs 39066.85 crore for the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 38433.31 crore in the previous year. Net profits have risen by 2.6 per cent to Rs 9911.16 crore from Rs 9663.17 crore.
 
ITC declares Bonus Shares in the ratio 1:2 i.e. 1 Bonus Share of Re. 1/ each for every existing 2 fully paid-up Ordinary Shares of Re. 1/- each. ITC also recommends dividend of Rs 8.50 (including special dividend of Rs 2) per ordinary share of Re 1 each.
