Tata Motors’ May 2016 sales shine

Tata Motors Group's global wholesales in May 2016, including Jaguar Land Rover, stand at 87414, with a growth of 10 per cent, over May 2015.  The cumulative wholesales for the fiscal stand at 168711 which is higher by 8 per cent over 2015-16.

The global wholesales of Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range have increased by 11 per cent to 32375 in May 2016 on a yearly basis. The company’s cumulative commercial vehicles wholesales for the fiscal are 61923, higher by 11 per cent, over 2015-16. Its global wholesales of all passenger vehicles stand at 55039, higher by 10 per cent in May 2016 as compared to same period in previous financial year. Tata Motors’ cumulative passenger vehicle wholesales for the fiscal have grown by 6 per cent to 106788 over 2015-16.

Tata Motors’ global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover stand at 46204 vehicles. The company’s Jaguar wholesales for the month stand at 12442 vehicles, and cumulative wholesales are 21630 vehicles. Its Land Rover wholesales remained at 33762 vehicles during last month and cumulative wholesales number at 65507 vehicles.

The share price of Tata Motors has increased by 0.85 per cent on bourses in early trades; and is trading at Rs 466.75 on an intraday basis.

Tata Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia.It also has an industrial joint venture with Fiat in India. Tata cars, buses and trucks are being marketed in several countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia, South America, Australia, CIS and Russia.
