 Post Market Summary

The Indian markets closed the day on a negative note after witnessing lacklustre move throughout the day. The main draggers for the day are the Metal, Auto and Consumer Durables indices closing the day declining more than one percentage points. Some support is provided by the Healthcare and IT indices. The Sensex closed the day in red declining 65.06 points or 0.32 percentage points to close at 20,250.26.  Nifty ends the day at 6103.45 declining 16.85 points or 0.28 percentage points. Market breadth was negative with 1,120 advances against 1,825 declines on BSE. On the global front, European shares and U.S. index futures retreated before a government report that may show rising American unemployment. Asian shares fell.
