Skipper has proven its further international business penetration by bagging new orders worth Rs 100 crore. The company’s new orders are in the countries of Kenya, Cameroon, Congo, Ghana & Malaysia as well as in the domestic market.

These orders are for supply of Transmission & Sub-station Towers, Distribution Poles and Steel Angles.Skipper has further received approval from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for its Poles division.
On financial front, Skipper’s revenue has increased by 14.73 per cent to Rs 1506 crore in FY16 as compared to previous fiscal. The company’s EBITDA too has risen by 1.86 per cent to Rs 219 crore in FY16 on a yearly basis. Its bottom line also has increased by 6.68 per cent to Rs 95.13 crore in FY16 as compared to previous financial year. Skipper has a healthy order book of Rs 2429 crore as of FY16.
On July 5, the share price of Skipper declined by 2.27 per cent on bourses and closed at Rs 157.25 on an intraday basis.Skipper is the manufacturer of products for downstream industries. The company operates through segments such as Engineering Products, Infrastructure Projects and PVC Products. It has approximately three manufacturing facilities, of which two are located in NH-6, Jalan Complex, Jangalpur, Howrah and one is located at NH-6, Uluberia, Howrah. Skipper exports products to approximately 20 countries.
