With assets under management of Rs 573 crore and an expense ratio of 2.86, which is slightly on the higher side , the fund has been an outright winner in the category of sectoral funds.
The fund has generated 21.71 per cent returns over a 5 year period on an annualised basis. The 3 year returns have been a whopping 34.9 per cent year on year. 20.5 per cent for a 2 year period and 4.3 per cent over a 1 year period.
The Alpha for the fund is 12.63 per cent indicating out-performance to the benchmark index which is Nifty 500 index. The fund beta is 0.95 and the Treynor ratio, also called reward to volatility ratio, stands at 17.25. Treynor ratio indicates the risk adjusted returns that the fund makes based on the systematic risk or the market risk.
The top picks for the fund are HDFC Bank (7.1 per cent), State Bank of India (6.6 per cent), Axis Bank (6.3 per cent), ICICI Bank (5.8 per cent) and TVS Motor Company Ltd., (5.4 per cent). It is worth noting that the fund is holding on to cash (call money) to the tune of 9 per cent. The top sectoral allocation for the fund has been Financials (34.9 per cent), Automobiles (19.9 per cent) , Consumer services (10 per cent) and Consumer products (7.4 per cent).
