Indices close on upper hand;Tata Motors up by 3.2 %

The Indian markets pulled up after the mid-market session in the end of July's fourth week. Auto and Capital Goods provided handsome support to indices and both were up more than 150 points. The Sensex recovered over 150 points from the day’s low and ended 92 points up at 27803. The Nifty ended 31 points up at 8541.

The Sensex recovered over 150 points from the day’s low and ended 92 points up at 27803. The Nifty ended 31 points up at 8541.
The advance decline ratio ended on the positive side at the closing buzz. 32 stocks closed with green mark whereas, 18 stocks closed in red.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: Tata Motor DVR was top gainer with 3.6% gains, followed by Tata Motors, Power Grid, ZEEL and Infratel.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: ACC was top loser with loss of 1.9% , followed by Bajaj Auto, SBI, Bosch Ltd., and Wipro.
On the sectoral front, 12 out of the 13 sectors ended in the green. Auto and Capital Goods sector were top gainers and were up more than by 150 points each. Whereas Metals, Mid-caps and Small-Caps sectors also were up around 100 points each. Bankex, Oil & Gas and Healthcare also were, up by 20 points to 50 points each. However IT closed in red, down by 27 points.
The Asian markets were quoting negative. Nikkei closed in red, down by 182 points. While Hong Kong’s Hang-Seng was down by 36 points. Taiwan and Shanghai Composite also closed in negative territory.
In Europe, FTSE opened down by 27 points, DAX opened 5 points higher, and CAC opened 27 points higher.
Derivative Analysis
The Nifty July future is struggling to break the level of 8600. If it opens above this level, it may be considered as a bullish crossover.
