Indices shine; Asian Paints jumps by 6%

The Indian markets not only opened on a positive note, but has ended up with good volumes. The markets were volatile after midsession but again thet closed near day highs. The Nifty ended with gain of 50 points at 8666 and Sensex was up by 184 points at 28208.
The Indian markets not only opened on a positive note, but has ended up with good volumes. The markets were volatile after midsession but again thet closed near day highs. The Nifty ended with gain of 50 points at 8666 and Sensex was up by 184 points at 28208.
Market breadth for the Nifty index has remained strong but the advance decline ratio ended on the negative side in today’s trading session. 24 stocks closed with green mark whereas, 27 stocks closed in red.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: Asian Paints was top gainer with 5.9% gains, followed by Infratel, Maruti, Eicher Motors and Bosch Ltd.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: Auro Pharma was top loser with loss of 1.9%, followed by Idea, Adaniport, Tata Steel and L&T.
In today’s trading session most of the sectors closed on green mark and Consumer Durables was top performer gaining by 281 points. While Auto and FMCG closed on positive note around 150 points. However, Capital Goods, Metals and Oil & Gas closed in red territory.
The Asian markets were quoting in the mix. China’s Shanghai Composite closed nominally positive, Hong Kong’s Hang-Seng was down by 44 point, while Japan’s Nikkei was down by 184 points.
European markets were also trading in red mark.
Derivative Analysis:
If Nifty opens above 8700 level, positive scenario is likely to continue.
