Overnight Digest – Stocks to look out for on August 9

The stocks which could witness a significant movement on August 9 are Idea Cellular, Hero MotoCorp, Century Textiles, Edelweiss, Godrej Properties, Apollo Tyre, Rural Electrification Corporation and HPCL. 

Idea Cellular: - Idea Cellular's Q1FY17 results have failed to impress as regards profits, margins and revenue growth. EBITDA is up by 3.2 per cent YoY . Net profit is reported down by 36 per cent. 

Hero MotoCorp : - The scrip's profit has surged by 18 per cent YoY to Rs 883 crore. The revenues have grown by 7.7 per centQoQ. Operating profits have increased by 18 per cent YOY. 

Century Textiles/ Edelweiss/ Godrej Properties/ Apollo Tyres :- Q1 FY17 results will be declared on August 9 for Century Textiles, Edelweiss, Godrej Properties and Apollo Tyre. 

Rural Electrification Corporation :- Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd., has now informed BSE that the board of directors of the Company in its meeting scheduled to be held on August 11, 2016, inter alia, will consider the proposal in respect of issue of bonus shares to the shareholders of the Company in the ratio, as it may deem fit by way of capitalisation of its reserves.

HPCL :-Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd., has informed BSE that Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued press release on August 05, 2016 notifying that Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) / Registered Foreign Portfolios Investors (RFPIs) can now invest from existing 24 per cent to 40 per cent of the paid up capital of the Company under the Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS).
