Nifty inching towards 9000; Bankex, Auto surge by 2.8%

The Indian markets were in the bulls grip as they witnessed a spectacular rally on September 6, 2016. Bankex and Auto index led this rally and also all the other sectors remained in the green zone till closing session. The Nifty surged to close 133 points up at 8943 level; and the Sensex was up by 445 points at 28978 levels. Both the indices closed on a positive note, up more than 1.5 per cent each.

Bankex and Auto index led this rally and also all the other sectors remained in the green zone till closing session. The Nifty surged to close 133 points up at 8943 level; and the Sensex was up by 445 points at 28978 levels. Both the indices closed on a positive note, up more than 1.5 per cent each.
The advance-decline ratio was on the positive side in the closing session. On the NSE, 41 shares closed in green, while 10 shares ended the day in red.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: Tata Motors closed the day as the top gainer on the NSE, up by 6.8%. It is followed by Axis Bank, Tata Motors DVR, Yes Bank and ICICI Bank, which were the others that closed the day on a positive note.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: Coal India was the top loser, down by 1.2%, followed by TCS, Tata Power, Ultracemco and Wipro.
In today’s trading session all of the sectors closed on the green mark. Auto and Bankex were top gainers, and closed up by up more than 600 points each. While Consumer Durables, Mid-caps and Small-caps also closed on a positive note up in the range of 250 to 350 points, followed by Metal, Healthcare, FMCG and IT, which managed to close in positive territory.
The Asian markets were quoting in positive Japan’s Nikkei closed nominally positive by 44 points. Hong Kong’s Hang-Seng was up by 138 points, while Taiwan and KOSPI closed on the positive mark.
European markets were trading in mixed scenario.
