Indices close on lower ends; Consumer Durable drag

The Indian markets witnessed some profit booking majorly in Consumer Durables and Oil & Gas index. However Capital Goods and Metals were positive, and closed up more than 100 points each. The Nifty ended 25 points down at 8917 and the Sensex ended 51 points down at 28926.
The Indian markets witnessed some profit booking majorly in Consumer Durables and Oil & Gas index. However Capital Goods and Metals were positive, and closed up more than 100 points each. The Nifty ended 25 points down at 8917 and the Sensex ended 51 points down at 28926.
The advance–decline ratio ended on the negative side in closing session. On the NSE, 20 shares closed in green, while 29 shares ended the day in red.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: BHEL was top gainer with 15.2% gains, followed by Bank of Baroda, ONGC, SBIN and ICICI Bank.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: Yes Bank was top loser with loss of 2.4%, followed by Asian Paints, GAIL, Tech Mahindra and HDFC.
In today’s trading session the majority of the sectors closed in green mark. Capital Goods and Metals were top gainers, and closed up more than 100 points each. While Auto, Mid-Caps and Small-Caps also closed on a positive note. However Consumer Durable and Oil & Gas closed to drag the index lower, down by 123 points and 40 points respectively.
The Asian markets were quoting in the mix. Japan’s Nikkei was negative, closing down by 69 points. Hong Kong’s Hang-Seng was down by 45 points, while Taiwan and Shanghai composite closed on the positive mark.
European markets were also trading in positive scenario.
Derivative Analysis
Till the nifty closes above 8750 mark, market will recover from lower levels.
