Markets in Monday blues with global sell off

Indian capital markets joined global sell off and have not recovered from Monday blues. Nifty has dropped by 1.89 per cent in early trades and is trading at 8733.7.
The S&P 500 index in the US has slumped by 2.45 per cent m; while Dow Jones has tanked 2.13 per cent on Friday after one of the policymaker hinted that US central bank may increase rates in upcoming monetary policy. The FED is scheduled to review money policy on September 21-22.
On Friday, North Korea successfully conducted nuke tests; and fears that UN sanctions may fail to restrict the country from any further tests had already dampened sentiments in Asia.
Asian shares tumbled on Monday after a sharply lower finish for major U.S. indices on Friday. Shanghai has declined by 2.17 per cent, Nikkei has reduced by 1.94 per cent and Hang Seng has dropped by 2.71 per cent.
