Post Market Summary
The Indian markets closed the day in green after remaining choppy for the most part of the day. The main gainer for the day is the FMCG index closing the day with a gain of more than two and half percentage points followed by the Realty and Teck indices closing the day with a gain of more than one percentage points. The Oil & Gas and the PSU indices were the only indices closing the day in red on a flat note. . The Sensex closed the day in green gaining 80.10 points or 0.38 percentage points to close at 20,932.48. Nifty ends the day at 6301.55 gaining 28.35 points or 0.45 percentage points. Market breadth was positive with 1,707 advances against 1,222 declines on BSE. On the global front, European stocks climbed, sending the Stoxx Europe 600 Index to a two-year high, after companies from Vodafone Group Plc to Adecco SA announced earnings that beat analysts’ estimates. U.S. futures and Asian shares declined.
