L&T Construction bags a sequence of orders

L&T Construction has secured orders worth Rs 1726 crore across various segments. The share price of the company increased by 0.19 per cent on bourses in early trades; and is trading at Rs 1473 on an intraday basis.

Out of the total orders, L&T has secured order worth Rs 687 crore in defence sector. The company received orders Rs 421 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) for engineering, supply, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of Wi-Fi hotspots. It has also won orders of Rs 245 crore from Pune Municipal Corporation. The remaining chunk of Rs 373 crore under Deen Dayal Uppadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY) from Odisha Power Transmission Corporation has been received.
On September 2, L&T Construction has won orders worth Rs 1458 crore across its various business segments. The company’s Engineering, Procurement & Construction segment secured orders worth Rs 654 crores in the international and domestic markets. The building & factories business has bagged projects worth Rs 518 crore. It has also received an order worth Rs 200 crore from Bihar State Electronics Development Corporation (BSEDC).
