After opening nominally positive, the Indian markets are trading on flattish note. The Nifty was down by two points to close the day at 8864 and Sensex closed at 28753, down by 20 points. Both the indices are trading in red by-0.03-0.06 per cent.

The advance–decline ratio is on the mixed side. As far as the NSE is concerned, 1275 shares closed in green, while 1204 shares ended the day in red.
