Indices bounce back

The Indian markets witnessed a good recovery at closing buzz, on September's last trading session. Auto index outperformed the day followed by Mid-caps and Small-caps. The Sensex ended 38 points higher at 27865 and Nifty was up 20 points at 8611. Both the indices closed with a positive bias around 0.14-0.23 per cent respectively.

The Sensex ended 38 points higher at 27865 and Nifty was up 20 points at 8611. Both the indices closed with a positive bias around 0.14-0.23 per cent respectively.
The advance-decline ratio ended positive in the closing session. On the NSE, 28 shares closed in green, while 23 shares ended the day in red.
Majority of the sectoral indices closed in positive in today’s session. Auto was top the gainer, up by 294 points. While Mid-caps and Small-caps were up by around 251 points and 266 points respectively. Oil & Gas, Metals and Banks also were up around 125 points each. However only FMCG closed in negative territory.
In the Asian markets, the Nikkei closed down by 243 points. The Hang Seng index ended down by 442 points. While the Taiwan and KOSPI also ended on a negative note.
European markets were also trading in negative scenario.
Derivative Analysis
Nifty future closed at 8750. If it sustains above this level, it may see more upward moves.
