Jagran Prakashan is trading with a spurt in volume of 1.48 times on October 5. The share price of the company has increased by 8.4 per cent on bourses in early trades; and is trading at Rs 209.7 on an intraday basis.

Hon'ble High Court of Judicature at Allahabad has considered and approved the amalgamation of Crystal Sound & Music and Spectrum Broadcast Holdings, earlier known as IVFH Holdings with Jagran Prakashan. Meanwhile, demerger of radio business undertaking of Shri Puran Multimedia, a demerged company into resulting company Music Broadcast is on the cards. The scheme is pending for approval from High Court of Judicature at Mumbai and other requisite approvals.
Jagran Prakashan has 39 radio stations across 13 states. The company’s radio business has earned about Rs 227 crore in FY16. Its operating profit stands at Rs 77 crore with 34 per cent operating profit margin in FY16.
