Markets end on a positive note; Tata Steel surges

The Indian markets opened and ended on a positive note on October 10, 2016 . Indices like Capital Goods and Metals were the outperformers of the day. The Nifty ended up by 11 points at 8708; and Sensex was up by 21 points at 28082.
The Indian markets opened and ended on a positive note on October 10, 2016 . Indices like Capital Goods and Metals were the outperformers of the day. The Nifty ended up by 11 points at 8708; and Sensex was up by 21 points at 28082. The indices ended the day lower by 0.14- 0.16 per cent respectively.
The advance-decline ratio ended on the negative side. On the NSE, 28 shares closed in green, while 23 shares were in the red.
Majority of the sectoral indices closed in the positive in today’s session. Consumer Durables were the top gainers, up by 216 points. While Metals and IT were up more than 100 points each. However Capital Goods, Bankex and Auto closed in negative territory.
In the Asian markets, the Nikkei closed down by 39 points. The Hang Seng index ended down by 100 points. While the Taiwan and KOSPI ended on a positive note.
European markets were also trading in positive scenario.
Derivative Analysis
Nifty future closed at 8745. Going ahead 8670/8640 will be the vital supports.
