Wonderla Holidays Ltd.’s Q2FY17 result has come in below Bloomberg estimate. Revenue has come in 11.2% lower than estimated figure of Rs 57 cr yoy. Net profit is 62.2% yoy lower than the estimated figure of Rs 8 cr.
Revenue for the quarter has increased 16.2% yoy to Rs 50.24 cr. This was driven by 12% yoy growth in amusement park revenue.
EBITDA has dropped by 31% yoy to Rs 10 cr and EBITDA margins have fallen by 1384 bps yoy to 20.2%. This was primarily driven by 65% yoy increase in direct operating expenses and 88% yoy increase in advertisement & marketing expenses.
Net profit has declined by 75.3% yoy to Rs 3 cr primarily due to 71% yoy decrease in other income and 95% yoy rise in depreciation.
Technical View:
Wonderla Holidays Ltd., ended at Rs. 406, up by 0.6 points or 0.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 405.4 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 404.9 and touched a high and low of Rs. 407.95 and Rs. 402.65 respectively. A total of 40443 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The stock traded below its 50 DMA.
