Sundaram-Clayton has reported weak standalone numbers for Q2FY17. Revenue for the quarter has declined 4.7% yoy to Rs 383 cr.
The EBITDA has fallen by 37.1% yoy to Rs 31 cr while EBITDA margins have contracted by 413 bps yoy to 8%. This was largely due to 12% yoy increase in employee benefit expenses and 13% yoy increase in other expenses. Net profit has fallen 59% yoy to Rs 8 cr.
Technical View:
Sundaram Clayton Ltd., is currently trading at Rs. 3131, down by 233.75 points or 6.95% from its previous closing of Rs. 3364.75 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 3438.1 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3450 and Rs. 3126.55 respectively. So far 6876 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The stock is currently trading below its 50 DMA.
