Only a month ago no one except staunch supporters of Trump would have talked about Trump winning US Presidential elections.

1. According to Eric Zitzewitz, economics professor at Dartmouth College, the US markets may fall by 7 per cent if Trump wins and the markets may go up by 3 per cent if Clinton wins. Indian markets will take cues from the global markets and may perform in line with their global peers.
2. Trump win means that he could act against the U.S trade partners declaring them in violation of trade agreements which may upset emerging markets including Indian markets.
3. With European banking crisis looming large, Trump win will ensure disruption in global trade which will affect emerging markets and all lower -income countries dramatically.
Indian investors can expect a massive sell-off in markets if Trump wins and a relief rally if Clinton wins.
