BSE PSU index hits 52- week high

The markets on November 10 reclaimed its sheen after the bloodbath over US presidential election results. The markets opened in the green and to the surprise of many, the PSU index hit a 52-week high.

The markets opened in the green and to the surprise of many, the PSU index hit a 52-week high. As at 1.50 p.m., the index was trading at 8029.54, up by 3.93 per cent. The index gained as much as 311.24 points.

Vijaya Bank is the largest gainer, notching up an impressive gain of 15.56 per cent, followed by Indian Bank and Dena Bank which have gained 13.76 and 13.17 per cent. This is an interesting development, indicating that investors have their shifted gears towards PSU stocks after bouts of volatility rocking the markets hard.
